  • If I have some loft insulation – Do I need more?
    Most houses have some loft insulation but you may need top up. The recommended level is around 11 inches.
  • Will I have to clear my loft?
    Speak to the surveyor when he surveys your attic but most installers can work round some personal belongings.
  • Does wall insulation cause damp problems?
    No. The materials are waterproof and fire resistant.
  • What is loft insulation made of?
    Loft insulation is made from natural rock mineral wool fibre. It is completely fireproof and moisture proof and actually improves the fire safety of your attic and home.
  • How long does loft insulation take to install?
    In most cases  installers take less than two hours to complete the installation, depending on the amount of loft insulation needed. The current recommended level for most roofs and buildings is 270mm (11 Inches).
  • Who installs free loft insulation?
    Free loft insulation and cavity wall insulation are installed by accredited  companies recommended and verified by Government authorities.
  • What documents do I need?
    The surveyor will need to see any proof of benefits along with a mortgage statement or tenancy lease.
